João is a Director of Photography from Lisbon. Over the span of 12 years, he has shot music videos, commercials, documentaries, TV news and narrative short-films. After exposure to directing and editing, he discerned that cinematography was his largest concern on set. Upon relocating to the UK, he was eager to hone his skillset through access to higher education. Now he strives to create imagery that is metaphorically strong, giving rapt attention to the visual language for each script. His ongoing fascination with lighting allows him to bring creative solutions for achieving a determined tone and mood. João looks forward to exploring the art of filmmaking within Europe and North America.
